Melissa Mason
Melissa Mason is from Kansas City, MO and started dancing at the age of three. She took classes at Ibsen Dance Theater and performed at
Gladstone's Theater in the Park. She grew up competing nationally in dance, gymnastics and tumbling and in high school attended The State Ballet of Missouri. Melissa received a Dance scholarship to the
University of Missouri in Kansas City with emphasis in Modern. During senior year at UMKC Melissa auditioned for the Shoji Tabuchi Show in Branson and began her professional career. After graduating and
receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance she went on to perform on multiple cruise ships for Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise Lines,
traveling the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Upon returning home
Melissa taught Ballroom at TC Dance Club International where she
performed and competed. Melissa has taught and choreographed modern, tap, ballet, hip hop and pointe throughout the Kansas City
metro area along with adjudicating for Symposium Talent. Melissa now resides in Liberty, MO with her husband Eric and three children and is excited to be teaching at Ibsen's.
